Following comprehensive set of terms ensures a clear understanding of the diverse elements within the #ASKnet training platform.
-
Resource: A resource encompasses various educational elements such as documents, videos, or images. It can also include tools essential for training or a list of materials needed for a specific purpose. Each resource is accompanied by an open license, allowing unrestricted use. The training planner conveniently provides direct links to access these resources.
-
Module: Represents a unit with a specific topic, consisting of various resources. Modules have a learning objective and a time specification.
-
Training: An accumulation of different modules, with durations ranging from a few hours to days or weeks. You plan your training by selecting modules relevant to the substance of the training you are organizing.
Modify the displayed list of modules with dynamic updates using four different filtering options.
Filtering options
Filter modules based on the difficulty level for trainers. Choose from three levels: easy, medium, and advanced. You can select multiple levels by marking the checkboxes according to your preferences.
Filter modules based on the maximum number of participants who could attend your training. The platform provides a set of numbers based on the module specifications. You can select more than one option.
This function is initially collapsed; expand it by clicking the arrow icon on the right. A list of tags will appear; clicking on a specific tag will dynamically update the list of modules below to display those associated with the chosen tag. Multiple tags can be combined, providing modules that use one, the other, or both tags. Therefore, multiple selections do not narrow the list. Selected tags appear in a orange background color, you can deselect a tag by a second click or simply clicking 'All' in the top row.
Filter modules by tags
The search bar followes the header of the website; as you type, the list of modules will dynamically update. It filters not only by the titles but also by the content of the modules. Clear your search by using the 'Clear Search' button.
The following section provides an overview of the modules and their elements.
Single module
Select the module title (orange heading in the top row of each module) to unveil the module preview. Here, you'll find details about learning objectives, licenses, introduction time, maximum participants, difficulty levels for trainers, and the minimum required trainers. All associated resources are conveniently displayed, each accessible with a simple click, opening in a new tab. Navigate back to the overview effortlessly using the '<— Overview' button in the upper right corner.
Module Preview
Right next to the title is a circle that allows you to select modules (refer to figure: Single module). When a module is selected, a checkmark appears in the circle. Once you proceed to the training planner via the 'Plan your training' button, all the selected modules will be automatically inserted into your training.
In addition to module details, the module blocks also showcase related resources (refer to figure: Single module). These resources are clickable, allowing you to open them in a new browser tab for further exploration.
Following the resources, you'll find two icons: the 'Max. Participants' icon displaying the maximum number of participants, the 'Difficulty Level' icon indicating the level of difficulty for trainers, and there is also the license for the module (refer to figure: Single module). These icons are clickable and serve as filters. For instance, clicking on the 'Difficulty Level' icon dynamically updates the list of modules to show only those with the corresponding difficulty level.
Located at the bottom of each module block are the related tags associated with the module (refer to figure: Single module). These tags function similarly to the icons, serving as filters. Clicking on a tag dynamically updates the list of modules accordingly.
