FarSimpleTester - Validate output of Java software This software will parse protocol files, that contain inputs and outputs of the software you want to validate. The protocol format is currently shared with the format of I-Al-Istannens "SimpleCodeTester". Synopsis: <fst> [OPTIONS...] JAVA_CLASS PROTOCOL_FILE <fst> being the binary of this program JAVA_CLASS being the class containing the main method PROTOCOL_FILE being the protocol file to test against Options: -l, --show-log Log the input and outputs of the current test run. -cCLASS_PATH, --class-path CLASS_PATH Set the classpath the Java VM will be launched with. Exit Status: 0: Successful completion 1: The test run failed 2: Invalid usage of command line parameters Note: FST is *very* simple, and it will deadlock when the currently tested process expects input while the protocol awaits output. So you'll likely want to launch it within GNU timeout (coreutils). Please send any inqueries, patches/changesets via git send-email, git pulls, etc. to [email protected] or [email protected]. To use FST within your project you can add something like this to your Makefile: FST := <path/to/fst> TESTS_DIR := tests/ PROTOCOL_TEST_TIMEOUT := 0.2 [...] test: @for protocol in $(TESTS_DIR)/*.protocol; do \ echo "Testing $$protocol..."; \ timeout $(PROTOCOL_TEST_TIMEOUT) $(FST) --class-path $(TARGET_DIR) <JAVA_CLASS> "$$protocol" || timeout $(PROTOCOL_TEST_TIMEOUT) $(FST) --show-log --class-path $(TARGET_DIR) <JAVA_CLASS> "$$protocol"; \ if [ $$? -eq 124 ]; then \ echo -e "\e[1;91mTest timeed out\e[0m" ; \ fi ; \ done If you want to download all tests from "SimpleCodeTester" you could add something like the following to the Makefile of your project: CODETESTER_USERNAME := <username> CODETESTER_CATEGORY := <category id> [...] codetesterLogin: secret-tool clear codetester.token $(CODETESTER_USERNAME) || true secret-tool store --label "CodeTester Account" codetester.token $(CODETESTER_USERNAME) <<< \ $(shell curl https://codetester.ialistannen.de/login -X POST -F username=$(CODETESTER_USERNAME) -F password=$(shell secret-tool lookup codetester.user $(CODETESTER_USERNAME)) | jq .token) codetesterPullTests: ACCESS_TOKEN=$(shell curl 'https://codetester.ialistannen.de/login/get-access-token' -X POST \ -F "refreshToken=$(shell secret-tool lookup codetester.token $(CODETESTER_USERNAME))" | jq -r .token); \ PROTOCOLS=$$(curl 'https://codetester.ialistannen.de/checks/get-all' \ -H "Authorization: Bearer $$ACCESS_TOKEN" | jq -r '.[] | select(.category.id == $(CODETESTER_CATEGORY)) | {id,name} | tostring'); \ while IFS= read -r protocol; do \ BODY="$$(curl "https://codetester.ialistannen.de/checks/get-content?id=$$(jq -r .id <<< $$protocol)" \ -H "Authorization: Bearer $$ACCESS_TOKEN")"; \ echo "$$BODY" | jq -r '.content.text' > "$(TESTS_DIR)/$$(jq -r .name <<< $$protocol | sed -e 's|/|_|g')".protocol; \ while IFS= read -r auxFile; do \ mkdir -p $$(dirname "$$(echo $$auxFile | jq -r '.name')"); \ echo $$auxFile | jq -r '.content' | sed '$${/^$$/d;}' > $$(echo $$auxFile | jq -r '.name'); \ done <<< $$(echo $$BODY | jq -c '.content.files[]'); \ done <<< $$PROTOCOLS be aware that you first need to invoke secret-tool store --label "CodeTester Account" codetester.user <username> to store the password of your account.
