Data for the 2018 outbreak of Ebola in the Democratic Republic of the Congo in North-Kivu and Ituri Provinces
On 1 August 2018, a second outbreak of Ebola was declared in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. To date, cases have been confirmed in eight health zones: Beni, Butembo, Kalunguta, Oicha, Mabalako and Maseraka health zones within North-Kivu Province, and Mandima and Tchomia health zones within Ituri Province. Suspected or probable cases have been investigated in four additional health zones: Goma and Musienene in North-Kivu Province, and Mambasa and Komanda in Ituri Province. Individuals have also been vaccinated in Katwa health zone (Noth-Kivu Province), Bunia health zone (Ituri Province) and Kinshasa. More details can be found in the WHO situational reports.
