@abstractionfactory I would rather see a massive pile of changes like this broken out into individual commits at the very least. This is unreviewable in it's current state. |

This PR retools this library for OpenTofu. This PR likely will still need some work, such as DCO, tests, releases, etc. I'm also not sure this is good idea, it's a large codebase for moderate utility, and we'd have to rely on the community to maintain it. However, here it is, this may be a good basis for discussion.
