Explored ways to simplify the important upgrade notes page and deliver more succinct guidance based on current/target release version.
More sophisticated scripting is needed to comprehensively support potential upgrade paths. This current approach is unwieldy. Potential tool candidate: Jinja (a Sphinx-supported modern, designer-friendly templating engine for Python. It's often used for generating HTML or other text-based formats dynamically.)
