Privacy and Security Settings for Browsers

Internet browsers have default settings that benefit that companies that create them, not you.

Enabling strict mode in modern browsers is so worthwhile. Any website that no longer loads afterwards or doesn't allow login afterwards doesn't deserve you as a viewer.

Edge (Chromium)

Firefox

Vivaldi

I recommend that you don't use Google Chrome, Internet Explorer or the old version of Edge (metro) since they are old, slow or have horrible privacy concerns.

Complimentary addons/extensions

  1. HTTPS Everywhere - Redirects insecure connections to secure ones, if available
  2. Privacy Badger OR Ghostery - Blocks more trackers and nonsense
  3. Decentraleyes - Loads JavaScript libraries from local storage
  4. Emsisoft Browser Security - Blocks low reputation websites

I recommend and personally use
