Can't get exact behaviour of v42 because of too many fundamental differences between the codebases.
Only difference spotted is for bundled apps (possibly) base dirs e.g.
/api/apps/cache-cleaner/, which responds with a302to/api/apps/cache-cleaner/index.htmlwhich should work fine in the browser once the redirect is followed.
