Role is not recognized when preceded by a numbered list item

Hi @kore,

When I have the following RST will the parser not recognize the :doc: role,

1. :doc:`getting-started/index`, which is a series of concise tutorials that will help you get running within minutes. 

I am trying to find the cause for this issue but it requires a significant amount of debugging because I am not intimitely familiar with the code for ezcDocument.

Do you know by chance what the problem could be here?

No, sorry, didn't touch that parser in years.

I can also try to debug that – the snippet you provided should be enough for a reproducing test case. Not sure when I am going to find time for that, though…
