Should a WCMP record does not have room for some sort of quality indication? Maybe you have discussed this already in length, but it would make it easier for instance to be able to distinguish between quality controlled datasets from NMHC’s and real-time observation data or 3rd Party Data. Or different climate datasets
Well, I am not aware of any heavy discussions on the quality indication.
From a technical point of view, we are in a stage where we can still add new properties. In addition, the WCMP2 (and consequently GeoJSON) allows the use of additional/custom properties to the metadata records. To understand better this aspect, could you (KNMI) answer the following questions?
Are the quality indicators (QI) equal/constant for all instances of a product? In other words, can we really put this information into metadata (MD) or does it change from instance to instance so that it needs to be in the data itself?
Do you expect the WIS global catalogue to index this information, i.e. allow queries that select products/MD records based on user-selected QI value?
