The idea is to assess how good you are at estimating the probability that you know something. It is an extremely powerful tool, the only downside of the link is that there aren't enough questions to make the results very meaningful. This game that you have created would solve that problem very easily.
Two additions are needed: before adding a new item, you must give a probability that you will get it correct. And then the analysis afterwards must show how well you are calibrated (after say 10 or 20 or 20 games or whatever).
If you think about it, it is quite a profound concept with relevance to virtually every decision that you make.
