Odd print behaviour #4800
Comments
AFAIK the First page appears blank because the heavily nested layered pattern has no defined colour Without a colour SumatraPDF shows nothing very very slowly due to heavy OCG nesting If the file is optimised or flattened it will be faster and better for printing see if these 2 samples works well for page 1 |
Afraid that both the files you attached give the same effect as the original - i.e. printing so faint as to be unusable. |
that was my observation that the linework is colourless unfilled thinlines here are 3 attempts to set those aspects |
Your amended versions all work fine. If I meet a similar problem again, what steps did you take to resolve it? |
I used the corresponding coherent cpdf single commands ( can be used in "AND" combinations)

I appreciate your input to this. Thank you. |
I have been a fan of SumatraPDF for some time, using it for all my day-to-day pdf needs. I just discovered something odd though. When attempting to print the attached file, which has 2 pages - one a pattern and the other mainly text - I found that the text page printed as it should, but the pattern page was so faint that it was unusable. Checked the normal things - printer ink and so on, but could find no problem. Then tried printing the same file from another pdf program, and discovered that both pages printed as they should. I can think of no reason for that. Any ideas? I am using version 3.5.2 64 bit on a Win11 PC. The printer is a Brother
