Hi, my name is Filipe Fernandes. I'm a physical oceanographer from Brazil. I'm passionate about the ocean and Earth sciences in general, and coding.

My coding work is usually related to Oceanography and Earth Science but sometime we go into the rabbit hole and become maintainers or packagers of Software we never intended to.

GitHub sponsorship is a way for me to focus on projects that are outside of my day job scope. I plan to use the funds to maintain and improve packages like windrose, gsw, ctd, folium, and many others. I also would like to use them to bring new developers to the various projects I maintain to help keep them updated.
