preg_split() deprecations

Iv'e just activated the debugbar to understand my SAML login issue.
In the Event-Log I find PHP deprecation messages like the following:

LOG.warning: preg_split(): Passing null to parameter #2 ($subject) of type string is deprecated in /var/www/html/app/Services/Saml.php on line 212
