Inconsistencies in selection state

The top nav displays a muted gray background when selected. The sub-nav for blog posts displays the muted gray background when available for selection. This makes it difficult to understand the selection state. We need to be consistent here.

I agree that there is some overlap in different styles here.

Likewise, the active schema ToC item is also similarly grey highlight:

The original mocks for the top nav had a darker text for the active item:

I am reluctant to change the top nav item to resemble the subnav because I don't like the way those styles look if used up there:

I am happy to brainstorm further on ways to consolidate and reduce ambiguity however.
