Preserve selection in Picklist on page reload

I'm using Picklist on a page and need to preserve the selected elements on page refresh. I use Primefaces 13.0.7

I need this, because I have a commandButton on the same page that allows to user to open a new page to select some options and than come back to the page with the Picklist.

@ToFe19 can you use <p:ajax event="transfer" /> to basically store the selections in a Session Scoped bean so when you come back to the page you just re-hydrate the selections?

The items are preserved. It's about the selected elements market with the class 'ui-state-highlight'. After the page refresh the market elements to not have the class 'ui-state-highlight' anymore. I migrated from RichFaces and there the selection remains.

i think i see what you are saying the selections I think are purely client side and the only thing stored is the items on the source and dest. But selections I think are client side only. I think this would be an enhancement they could be stored in browse local storage and restored.
