What language/syntax is rspamd/.../dkim_signing.conf ?

Context: I'm adding a new domain and although the instructions are clear how to do that, it's frustrating not to know what language /syntax the file is. The link provided in the docs also doesn't seem to have this info unless my keyword search is bad e.g. "language", "syntax", "yaml". A quick google led me nowhere too.

Found it - rspamd uses UCL "Universal configuration language" documented here

We do not have any control over Rspamd's docs, so you may want to raise your complaint with them?

FWIW, with dkim_signing.conf in particular the plan for a future DMS release is to automate generating this config once I've refactored and unified the DKIM key generation support.

Presently we rely on two separate commands (OpenDKIM / Rspamd specific) and they're a little inconsistent there. Since there's nothing special about the keypair itself, I think we can generate a single keypair (which all DMS managed domains could use, but per domain could be supported too) and generate the config at runtime if the user hasn't provided one.

I definitely screwed up looking for the syntax of that file rather than rspamd configurations in general. When I realized that mistake I was able to google correctly and found the answer.

I think ultimately if rspamd is going to create their own configuration language then the simple solution would be for them to give it a sensible file extension.

Within dms, I agree what you have is good. I wouldn't expect the language to be called out everywhere.

Interesting about the plan moving forward - and thanks for your work on DMS. Been very pleasant working with it. I moved from redmail due to their lack of docker support and the transition was smooth.
