Description of issue

I was in the process of opening an issue when I got this warning in brew doctor. I added the requested directory to XDG_DATA_DIRS but I'm still getting the warning.

Looks like a bug in verification matching different Ruby types. Opened Homebrew/brew#18074 which I think fixes check.

Thank you, I tested brew doctor again with v4.3.17 (which includes your fix), and I got the expected "Your system is ready to brew." when XDG_DATA_DIRS included the Homebrew path.
