If you try to open a diagram (eg. a .occic file) outside the "modeling" perspective (eg. in the "java" perspective), you get a weird error ("Editor could not be initialized").
An adequate behavior should be to propose a perspective change (like when debugging - Eclipse suggests to move to "debug" perspective), or display a dedicated (and clear) warning or error message.
