cant select characters

some stupid multiplayer server maxed out my hp right after I wanted to start fresh, so I got winterredit to lower my hp since i didnt want to make a new character. I opened up winterredit but it said my characters were corrupted or invalid. I can play them, so I don't think they're corrupted.
