When we are running projects it is often useful to make note on a device / node / site such as "This device as the wrong management IP vlan and needs to be changed to xxx" which are specific to that project.
So what i will often do is create a number of custom fields and and export template for thoses fields, so then multiply people can work on the project update netbox as they go and i can run my export and see how things are going.
This works fine for one or 2 projects but when we have 50+ on the it would get very messy if we use this technique and have 100's of custom fields.
So it would be nice if we could restrict the view of custom fields to specific users / groups. of even if when we create a custome group / export template we can chose it as "global" or "just me"
