The solution uses the Azure distribution of the OpenTelemetry SDK. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/python/api/overview/azure/monitor-opentelemetry-readme?view=azure-python

We need to support use cases where OTLP exporter support is required. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/azure-monitor/app/opentelemetry-configuration?tabs=python#enable-the-otlp-exporter
