Steps to reproduce

System goes to sleep after 5 minutes, which is the Windows setting, though the Awake tool is enabled and Mode is Keep awake indefinitely

✔️ Expected Behavior

System does not go to sleep

❌ Actual Behavior

System goes to sleep after 5 minutes, which is the Windows setting, though the Awake tool is enabled and Mode is Keep awake indefinitely

@cajuliam with Awake running, execute in powercfg /requests in an elevated Terminal and post the output here.

I have the same experience. I have a couple of large files downloading in Edge, so I started Awake in Indefinite mode, but when I came back to my laptop it was sleeping...

Awake clearly grabbed the SYSTEM request, so it must be something specific to the laptop (e.g., power saver mode). Will have to experiment with this on my portable machine to see if there is anything of that nature (although on a Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio that was never a problem).

@jasonclamb - what laptop are you using and is it managed by you or a company? Any vendor-ware installed that might be interfering with the settings?

I mange it, it is not corporate manged.

And when Awake doesn't work the computer goes to sleep every time, even though you have it on but without the "Keep screen on" option?

I will have to test this on a laptop, but I haven't been able to locally reproduce the scenario where Awake is correctly on, but the computer goes to sleep.
