\theta outputting as \heta #1

I've loved making use of this library recently, unfortunately, it would seem I can't get it to print \theta.

EDIT: I've also discovered a similar problem with \nabla & \frac

I wonder if this is an issue with the markdown display engine built into vs code rather than your library.
