Feature request: "Continue assistant message" should save the continued original message as an alternate output similar to how "Regenerate message" does

It's currently very difficult to "regenerate" the output if you continue the assistant message from a certain point onwards, since you have to manually go an erase the output to where you started. Some 1-click solution to this would greatly improve workflows.
