As a Sinden user on Raspberry Pi, I am trying to find as many options as possible to play arcade lightgun and lightgun-like games on my little computer that could.
Currently, the use of a lightgun xy-device with full, proper tracking for multiple players appears to be limited to lr-mame2003plus and lr-fbneo in the arcade realm. As of this message, lr-mame has support for 1 player.
Much like the 2010 and 2015 iterations of libretro MAME, 2016 hits a sweet spot that balances a larger ROM set with great performance on a Raspberry Pi. Adding the RetroArch lightgun standard that is successfully used by the other arcade cores and several console cores would be a cherry on top! I hope that someone with the necessary skills is as interested in this being added as I am!
