how do I save my work jsbin to github

I have started intro to HTML5 part1 this week and want to follow along with the lectures but when I tried to save my first lesson to github account which I have double and treble checked is linked to jsbin it just creates anonymously as indicated in the guide any advice on what I may be doing wrong or is it because I am using the free version?

The functionality is available regardless of whether you've linked your Github account or not. However, if you link your account to Github, then the exported gist will be linked to your Github account. If not, it will be create as an anonymous user on Github.
