How to disable tab stash appearing on new window by default?

Hi, Firefox remembers whether the sidebar was open or not whenever you open a new window. So if the sidebar was open when you opened a new window, the new window will have the sidebar, too. Just keep the sidebar closed in your existing windows, and new windows will not have it by default. Hope this helps!
