In ~/.amethyst.yml, neither of the following work:

throw-screen-1:
  mod: mod1
  key: '1'
throw-screen-1:
  mod: mod1
  key: 1

What would be the correct way to specify a number as the shortcut key?

I would expect the former to work. What version are you on?
