Past date leaves

I would like to apply for past date leave but the pop-up gives a warning saying "Request cannot be made for past date". And an admin user can add it but not a normal user.
Please help me in this issue. Is there any setting I need to check or am I missing something?

You can disable that option in the settings.

Settings > Leave > Restrictions > Restricts Past Date Leave Request Creation > false

Unfortunately, I can't see any Restrictions option under the Leave menu.
