When entering a new record, it can be helpful to enter multiple fields, and see the results of formulas associated with your entries, before saving the new record. This wish applies both to published forms and in-document card views.

Describe the solution you would like

This proposal introduces the concept of a “new unsaved record” (alternatively a “draft record”) in Grist, and describes how formulas may be made to work for unsaved records, with some differences and limitations compared to regular formulas.
