What input method is this? For someone unfamiliar with the language, can you please provide step by step instructions I can try to reproduce this? What version of Ghostty is this? I believe Ghostty tip (future 1.1) will resolve this. |

It's Sogou Pinyin. (Site is unfortunately Chinese-only, as it seems.) I read somewhere that Sogou Pinyin still uses Fcitx 4, which I don't think many people still use by now and is therefore undertested. I use RIME with Fcitx 5 and that works just fine — perhaps we just need to address some quirks somewhere |

Okay, so just some cursory googling it seems like it's not easy (or possible? without me doing some work) to install this input method on NixOS. If I can easily install it then I can spin up a system and attempt to see what's going on. But yes, Fcitx 5 should be working great with tip and CJK input. |

I think the easiest way to test it is via an Ubuntu VM, unfortunately. Most Chinese proprietary software on Linux doesn't really care for any non-Debian-based distro |

TBH I would try switching to another input method (preferably open-source so we can find out what went wrong more easily) that uses Fcitx 5 instead of Fcitx 4, which is no longer actively developed and not well supported by new software. 老实来说，还是建议换一个基于Fcitx 5的输入法。搜狗拼音使用的Fcitx 4现在处于维护模式，不仅不会再开发新功能，新应用也很难与其适配。并且，搜狗拼音作为闭源软件也相对于如中州韵等开源输入法调试起来更为困难：换句话说，我们想做适配，也不知道从哪里做起。 |
