GO:0120547 'heme A synthase activity' should be used to replace 'oxidoreductase activity, acting on NAD(P)H, heme protein as acceptor' GO:0016653 for Heme A synthase, type 1 (IPR023755) & Heme A synthase, type 2 (IPR023754).
Not sure about the parent 'COX15/CtaA family' (IPR003780) as it has two EC xrefs which map to
EC 1.17.99.9 -> GO:0120547 heme A synthase activity
EC 2.5.1.141 -> GO:0008495 protoheme IX farnesyltransferase activity
the former is in the oxidoreductase branch and the latter is a transferase. But the current mapping to GO:0016653 is incorrect. I think that the EC 2.5.1.141 GO:0008495 mapping comes from this "In some cases, heme A synthase is found fused to protoheme IX farnesyltransferase, an enzyme that converts protoheme IX to heme O" but still the activity would not be a property of the heme A syn domain.
Hi Helen,
Thank you for this. I removed GO:0016653 from the three entries, but GO:0120547 is not available yet in our internal curation tool. I'll add it as soon as I can to both children entries. I agree the parent should be left without any of those GO terms in InterPro.
Best,
Beatriz
