Is it possible to have UI filtering and sorting using markdown files?

Hello!

I've implemented a product service page using gatsby/netlifycms. This page will require filtering and sorting like so. (pic below)

I'm trying to understand in my head how this can work when using only markdown files.

Any thoughts and possible solutions? or are there any plugins that can handle this?
