Motivation

  • we want CI to deploy the staging environment. We want to use github environment secrets as the source of truth for this variable.

Problem

  • how to deploy to AWS with this secret coming from github environment secrets?

I added a staging environment secret for EVENT_TARGET that corresponds to https://github.com/elastic-ipfs/metrics-collector/deployments/activity_log?environment=cloudflare-dag.house-staging

Not really sure how to get that secret into the event-delivery-lambda staging env. Any ideas @francardoso93 @alanshaw ?

WIP over here https://github.com/elastic-ipfs/infrastructure/pull/148/files#diff-068959741b55ffe8c50beb8065f3d1491a7e442536bb90ca1eed8d141004bdf4R4

This will create the env variable, but not necessarily could for secret values that contain http basic auth info :/
For that keep an eye on #6
