I briefly took a look and it seems like quite a few components are rendered more often than they need to. #432 already fixes some low hanging fruit, but I guess we can improve UI speed further.

This is a very vague issue with questionable usefulness. With #1069 lots was rewritten and I didn't see any useless renders anymore. Will close.
