Advanced Line Recognition not compatible with version 24.0 of Business Central

Modify your extension so it’s compatible with the version 24.0.16410.17563

We’re making changes in the next release (version 24.0.16410.17563) of Dynamics 365 Business Central. These changes will render the Advanced Line Recognition extension that’s installed in your Sandbox (Sandbox) environment incompatible.

This is a know issue and a Continia developer confirmed yesterday, that the event will not be removed with the final release of Document Capture 24 (for BC 2024 R1). Furthermore - with the huge improvement of AI supported enhanced line recognition in DC24, ALR will most likely become obsolete for new customers. However, existing customers with existing templates might need ALR as long as they have not moved to new recognition.
Please note, that there will not be an upgrade tool/path for ALR templates to new AI-ELR (AI enhanced line recognition) as both tools are using very different approaches. However, I'm aiming to create an updated ALR that is not dependend to the obsolete event and maybe a little later an update that informs the user about templates, using ALR.

Last but not least I'm thinking of moving certain functionality like e.g. search for PO number into separate smaller PTEs making ALR really obsolete.

Is there any change in the workflow for our customers with the new version (1.24.0.0) of ALR due to the removed event in Document Capture 24.

In other words, is there anything we have to keep in mind when we provide the new version to our customers so they are able to update to BC24?

I tried to install your new version but unfortunately had to find out that the dependency Versions of Contina Core and Continia Document Capture couldn't be correct...
