Once we have configured several devices and entities in Home Assistant, it’s time to receive notifications if they have problems, or if we simply want to know the status of any of them. While we can configure several services for this purpose, I think Telegram is one of the simplest and most powerful.

Hi i have created a bot in my home assistant instance to share possibility to opend gate of my residence at all people that live in my residence. Unfortunately some chat_id are not recognized from home assistant. I see in log file this message:
"unable to find service notify.davidxxxx"
could you know how can i view why only this service are not started?

It could be. But how do I verify this?

As I said it's strange. I don't know exactly where the solution to the problem could be. The privacy you pass sounds good.

Another possible approach is to make the bot "public", so anyone could use it, but that it has a code to open the door. So only the residents must know the code.

It's actually a car gate on a road. From the bot with an inline Command they operate the intercom button. I have only enabled resident CHAT_id but I can't with my automation to deliver the keypad on some Devices.

Maybe you should open an issue in the Home Assistant GitHub repository. There they could help you and maybe the Telegram integration has an issue that they could solve.
