I'm looking for a self hosted bookmarking solution with a Firefox extension and I came across omnom via Betula.
I need to import years worth of bookmarks with tags - I suppose I can write something to hit the API but is import from JSON or HTML files something you're planning?
Note: I would have used a Discussion for this question if it were turned on in this repo.

Ohi!
I'm open to create a sophisticated import method - e.g. as a command line action - , but it isn't my main priority currently, because importing is possible with just a few lines of shell script even if it isn't the most comfortable solution.
The other reason we still don't have better import is the lack of information about how users prefer to import data and what formats should we support.
I'd appreciate if you (and anyone else) could share what import method/format would you prefer.
Also, I've activated discussions, thanks for the suggestion.
