Host Stuck on Power Disabled

First, I am completely new to cloudstack.

I followed this guide here for installation to start learning:

The host in cluster 1, zone 1 is stuck on power disabled. I have no idea where to begin troubleshooting. Could someone point me in the right direction? Could someone kindly explain what this might mean?

It sounds like you had the management software installed, @notreallyanengineer . Did you examin the logs for any ERRORs?

You are providing excessive amounts of information so no idea what your next step could be.
Did you get past the chapter Install CloudStack Agent?

Hi @DaanHoogland, yes I completed the install, including the agent as was in the article. As I said, I am completely new. What type of log messages would I be looking for and would they be in the cloudstack-management log? Thanks for the reply!

do you mean the Power State of the host? It is disabled if there isn't configured out-of-bound management.

What are the State and the Resource state of the host?

Hi @slavkap. Yes the power state of the host. The resource state is enabled, the state is disconnected (I tried to force a connect), and the power state is disabled. I need to configure OOB management? Thanks for the reply!

@notreallyanengineer, if you want to use high availability you'll need the OOBM configured. Can you enable the debug level of the management and agent logs? In the logs, there should be more information about why the host couldn't connect.
