Me and my girlfriend are watching One Piece, but in English dub with Spanish Subtitles, (she’s learning English and needs the Spanish subtitles to understand 50% of what’s being said). By the way, this is the ONLY platform that I’ve been able to find that can output One Piece with English audio AND display Spanish subtitles!
Really great job, I appreciate your work.
However, what ends up happening is that eventually, the Spanish subtitles will arrive too quickly and sort of spoil what will be said in the following 10 seconds! The subtitles will try to fix themselves, but in such a weird way.
4 or 5 lines of Spanish subtitles (one after the other, not at the same time) are displayed very quickly. Then, the following set of subtitles that you’ll see will be in English. There can be anywhere from 1-8 lines of subtitles in English. Eventually, after seeing those English subtitles, they’ll turn back to Spanish.
The most unfortunate part is that this happens maybe 4 times in 1 episode, so like every 6 minutes or so, (there’s only about 20 minutes in each episode).
Ironically, this bug is helping my girlfriend become better at English haha! She’s forced to read English dialogue while hearing the characters speak English. But, it gets pretty annoying - especially after you see like 12 lines of dialogue all together at once, one on top of the other at the same time, covering the WHOLE screen.
That’s obviously another bug, but I think it has to do with the same issue.
Please help! I don’t know if I can change some settings around or if there’s nothing that I can do.
These auto-generated Spanish subtitles are really good, too, only that they become wonky every so often.

Yeah, I figured that this was an issue with ALL of the auto-translated subs, not just the Spanish ones.
Now, it’s actually gotten worse - I’m at like episode 346 of One Piece and the Spanish subtitles are HORRIBLE!😭 I don’t blame the developer of AnimeTV, though - this kind of technology is fairly new and not perfect. AI culture is still young and it’s difficult to get things right. But, it’s very annoying to have a very specific problem that cannot be resolved…
however, I was recently able to find an extension called “Immersive Translate” that does exactly what I need it to do!…and I don’t think that I’ll be returning to AnimeTV after using this extension, (not until the subtitle issue is fixed).
I downloaded it for Firefox on desktop, but I switched to the Chrome version because it works the best.m, in my experience. Apparently, it’s compatible with multiple different platforms.
Try it out!
I know that there’s A LOT of people who look for subtitles WITH dubs, but it’s nearly impossible.
“Immersive Translate” - there you have a way to watch dubbed anime with exact subtitle translation. Hopefully, this extension could be researched and in some way, be incorporated into AnimeTV because I really enjoy how easy it is to navigate on AnimeTV.
