Performance and in-app Docs issues

I've been a long-time user of Altair, but I have to use it in a VM to work on one of our apps and the recent update caused such a drop in performance that it's not usable. I'm guessing it's related to the newer theme options. I understand the need to change UI though and my use case is uncommon. Has anyone encountered similar problems and found a workaround? I can use an older version but I'm missing out on some features then.

Also, our app recently added some schema extensions and now Altair doesn't pick up any Docs. The Introspection queries work on the app, but Altair doesn't parse them into easily readable docs. Is there any way to turn on debugging for this so we can figure out if we've done something wrong and where Altair is having parse issues? Edit: this last part was due to max query depth < 13.

Why do you think the new theme affects the performance? 🤔 I could make an option to disable the gradient things if that's the issue

I think the gradient is possibly the issue. I'm running in a VM and GPU-acceleration with electron apps can be iffy. CSS gradients can be heavy. I see 2-3x CPU on top with newer versions and it's sluggish doing things like changing tabs. Altair is awesome in general, I appreciate all your and the team's work on it.
