Which addon?

I would really like homebridge, there’s a community addon that is only partially maintained that could be forked. Yes, it exists but it wasn’t updated for a year until multiple people contacted the dev. I feel you could do a better job

It has a couple of minor flaws that someone experienced with creating addons from docker containers could probably fix - see the 2 existing issues

Having a simple way to install Homebridge will open up all the plugins it offers, many of which are incredibly well made.

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe

Because Homebridge, it’s UI and dependencies like Node.JS are updated often, the container needs to be updated frequently (or persistent storage needs to work properly) - things the current community addon isn’t doing

Describe the solution you'd like

A functional Homebridge addon that syncs updates with the official release, or an addon that can be restarted without node.js updates, homebridge updates and homebridge ui updates reverting
