I have a question about the state of Akeneo

I am following the development progress of Akeneo and it seems like that there are not a lot of activites in terms of code contributions, active pull-requests, etc.

So what is the state of Akeneo?

Searching documentation is hard to do but there can be found:
Coding around - Akeneo
=> Akeneo Product Roadmap | Akeneo
=> What's new in Akeneo PIM Serenity EE & GE? - Akeneo

And especially for public EE/CE version which is easy to find:
v7.0 - Akeneo

The 7.0 version is currently supported by our teams.
This version is supported until September 30, 2026.
This means that until then:

  • our CE users will benefit from security & bug patches on Community features,
  • our EE users will benefit from security & bug patches on both Community and Enterprise features, as well as SLA-backed support.

But "hides" the important facts in next text block:

WANT EXCLUSIVE FEATURES?
==>The 7.0 is our latest GA version.<==
But did you know that, in our Serenity offer, you can benefit from new exclusive features?
> Check out the exclusive Serenity features available so far
On top of that, in Serenity, you don't need to bother about migration anymore.
We handle it for you. Convinced?
Don't hesitate to contact us or your Customer Success Manager!
which fits this shortcuts:

To be sure I searched for "GA" and found in:
https://stackoverflow.com/questions/2107484/what-is-the-difference-between-springs-ga-rc-and-m2-releases/2107490#2107490

GA = General availability (a release); should be very stable and feature complete
RC = Release candidate; probably feature complete and should be pretty stable - problems should be relatively rare and minor, but worth reporting to try to get them fixed for release.
M = Milestone build - probably not feature complete; should be vaguely stable (i.e. it's more than just a nightly snapshot) but may still have problems.
SR = Service Release (subsequent maintenance releases that come after major -RELEASE).
