EDIT: Guys, I'm very sorry to say that I'm done with orders. To the people whom I promised here and didn't sent: I'm also canceling these orders. |
I want to buy both please. Im in EU :) Edit a i'm dutch too :) |
I already assembled and sold both adapters to @vergoossen. I have to order
components then, it may take 2-3 weeks to arrive. If you're willing to wait
I can proceed with ordering but I will need a pre-payment first.

I would be very happy to get one. How could we arrange?
I bought more components that I need (for spare) so, if you are in EU, I
can assemble and ship for 25EUR + shipping costs.
This is how it looks like, I can assemble 2 more:

Ok, I already placed an order for new components since I received another request. But due to Chinese new year there may be a delay. I will let you know once components arrived and device assembled |
@serrj-sv if you have some more spare time and spare parts. I'd also be happy to receive two ;) |
yes,I ordered more parts. I put you on the list ))

Hi all,
could anybody tell me which tye of connector has to be used to plug it on
the board of the MHI-AC?
There are so many types of JST connectors, I already bought a wrong one.
Thanks !

Yes i did. Sorry i was just curious if someone did try. @serrj-sv |
Guys, I'm very sorry to say that I'm done with orders. To the people whom I promised here and didn't sent: I'm also canceling these orders. |
Today I got all parts for soldering a few adaptors, I have parts for 4 in total. If you are interested, contact me. |
@absalom-muc What type of condensator did you use for C2 and C3? Tantalum? |
simple ceramic, no Tantalum |
How can i contact you? im interested in 2 adaptors :) |
@koelkast88 I'd also be interested in two adapters, if they are still available. :) |
If someone in the Netherlands is still looking for these adapters, I have some for sale, in DIY and complete soldered version, see: |
I would buy it. |
I'm too looking for the assembled device (actually I need two). I can cover the software side and reflash the device if necessary but hardware is beyond my skill ;-) @DYLaKo link is dead. |
Just tested the link, it is still working. I still have some units available. |
My fault. I misinterpreted the error message as 404ish - I probably didn't authenticate. Anyway, would you ship to Germany? I'm interested in two units (the premium option with no soldering, please ;-)). Best, Stefan |
I need to check for the shipping cost to Germany, I can do that tomorrow and let you know. How can I contact you? Do you have an email address? |
Posted my mail at https://gathering.tweakers.net/forum/list_messages/2065058 (which is a little more private than github). |
Found it. You should have an email now. |
@jenshorn I just send you an email. You can remove your email address from your post above. |
i have 2 of these units available for purchase, if someone needs it: https://tweakers.net/aanbod/2835762/mitsubishi-ac-wifi-controller.html |
Seems to be matching the observed behavior I have here. I did replace the soldered board with another one and at first, the unit was dead. So I kept it in there since it was already late and wanted to get back to it a couple if days later. And all over sudden the unit was online and the controller working after 2 or 3 days later. So this would, to my understanding, fit to the "work most of the time" part. |
I can't actually push the files yet, as we need LFS support (which I can drop of course as well). I've added some goodies and my repo which does work in the MR :) And yes, it should be JLCPCB assembly service compatible, though I've not tried that yet. |
Hi looking for 2 complete plug and play boards please with the cable so I can mount outside (I don't want to disassemble to get access) Australia. thanks also just want to confirm I can just flash with [MHI-AC-Ctrl-ESPHome] easier for me? |
@EvoSems how do you expect to plugin the cables without disassembly? |
I only want to run the cable to the outside once. Then can detach reattach as I see fit by just opening the lid flap. Sorry it probably didn’t come across correctly. Like an extension cable. Plug in once on the board and re assemble once. Then access to the connection is from under the flap. |
Right, well you can always get one of these: https://www.ebay.com/p/1160173035 (there's cheaper ones too), wouldn't that solve your problem? |
Yes. Perfect. Just what is needed! I had ordered a few other cables from lots of research of different sites. But they turned up too small. Which I learnt now is due to the cn105 interface. This is still a new subject to me. Learning along the way. this seems the most reliable solution. I have just had 2 new mhi units installed. So mhi is totally new to me. But I also want the perfect smart home. : ) |
I’m in Melbourne - interested let me know what your after, just need parts no assembly @addinsella |
What's the latest on turnkey PCB designs like this one? #70 |
Sent you an email @addinsella , cheers! |
|
Hi M-ax-G , i'd be interested in 2 assembled units posted to VIC |
Apologies for the delayed reply... feel free to send me an email to @gmail.com with mxgrnkwtz in front of it. |
I'm in the Netherlands and have around 10-15 PCBs left over (jcpcb). I'm happy to ship them at cost price + shipping. Assembly with Traco 2450 or Traco 2450e and legit Wemos D1 mini is also possible (again, all at cost price + shipping). Will be tested with own unit, obviously. |
@riccardo92 Would you ship to Germany and do you happen to know how much shipping here would be? Currently looking for some. |
Willing to ship to Germany, yeah. Quick check gives me around €8,40 for a mailbox package using the national post service. I think a letter/bubble envelope would be too risky, but also possible (probably around €5). |
Didn't fully get off they are completely assembled or is I'd have to order other parts for the board as well to finish it? Got some Wemos D1 left but none of the other parts, which is why I'm asking. What's the difference between the 2450 and the 2450e? I had some assembled but they all started falling after a while except one. I suspect some faulty batch but couldn't figure out what it was so I'm starting over 😅 |
I can ship the pcbs only, pcbs with parts or assembled pcbs, it's up to you. If you have the Wemos already, then I wont ship those. I have not been using them very long yet, not sure how reliable they are. Still better than MHI's worthless app in any case. The difference between 2450 and 2450e is explained somewhere in docs or issues, but it's mainly that the e version is less efficient (92% vs 96%) so it might run a bit hotter. It's also a bit cheaper. |
Sounds great. I would love to have the assembled ones as I do not find much time these days to solder anything. Wemos is already programmed to the AC it needs to installed for. If the 2450e runs hotter I would guess the 2450 would be the better way to go. Still intend to install the external DS18x20 to it. Works good on the second unit. Since you have more than one how much would 5 assembled ones cost (I intend to add some more units to the house in the future) including shipping? Feel free to write me at k1r1sutojan(at)gmail.com (replace 1 with i). Thanks 😃 |
Hi @riccardo92, Is it possible you can send me a assembled one? If you have one left. Im living in the netherlands. |
The behavior you're describing sounds normal to me; at least the legit Lolin units flash their LEDs once upon connecting and a few times while uploading your code. Perhaps you haven't selected the right board in the Arduino IDE or you selected the wrong clock speed (ie 160MHz). I don't have one already assembled, but I'm assembling a few anyway so I could do one extra. I'm just waiting for some TSR2450's, so it'll take a few days. Let me know if I should assemble an additional one. |
Hi, i found what i did wrong. I had the wrong cabel. : ). |
Good to hear that! It'll be around €17,50 ex shipping and excluding the Wemos D1 mini. If you also need a Wemos, this adds another €7 (you can get it a bit cheaper, but I'm ordering it for a bit more to avoid additional shipping from another webshop). It's a bit expensive for one unit because of the Traco TSR 1 2450, that's already 8. It can be done a bit cheaper (approx €15) if you decide to use the TSR 1 2450e. |
Ok im interested. |
Will do. It will be a bit more expensive since I need to place new orders for the logic converters and Traco 2450). Do you need the Wemos D1 as well, with soldered headers? Let me know asap. |
Ok and Yes |
|
I am in the market for 4 of these PCBs in the Netherlands. Anyone offering? 🌷 |
PCBs can also be bought from Nodo-Shop. They come included with the parts, but without a Wemos D1 Mini (but they also sell those in their shop should you not have one. I buy them at AliExpress, cheaper). You need to do some soldering by yourself, but that is 5 mins of work. |
niceeeeee |
Hi,
Is there a place where to buy ready to install hardware?
