Migrating from podgrab

Hello, I'd like to migrate to podfetch from podgrab. If I supply my podcast data directory to podfetch, will it find existing downloads for podcasts when I add their RSS feeds?

It's actually even more easier if you can say so 😀. You go to PodFetch, navigate to import via rss and click in Podgrab on the RSS feed link in the settings tab. This will create one big podcast. If you don't like that you can also export the opml file from Podgrab.

Great! Its not quite working how I'd hoped though. Podfetch creates a second directory for each podcast rather than using the files previously downloaded by Podgrab. Is this expected?

A more concrete example:

• I have added the show 'Signals and Threads'.
• I added its RSS feed to Podfetch
• Podgrab previously downloaded files to "${PODCAST_DIR}/Signals and Threads"
• Podfetch creates "${PODCAST_DIR}/Signals and Threads-1"
• As far as I can tell Podfetch makes no use of the existing downloaded files

My usecase is that some of what I listen to are old episodes from lapsed patreon subscriptions (so I'd have to pay to redownload the episodes). I also don't want to hammer anyone's servers redownloading old episodes if I can avoid it.

Oh with that method you may not copy your files from podgrab to podfetch. You start with an empty podfetch podcasts directory and then siomply add the rss feeds.
