Hard-coding of SRX-specific items

Many scripts have SRX-specific dependencies hard-coded into them. This is undesirable and we need a way to abstract the instrument to assure interoperability. Text-based config files for the instrument are an option. These would define the hand-shaking between EPICS-level identifiers and process-oriented tasks.
