Dark-corrected flats are used extensively by scientists to check instrument performance, resolve instrument issues, create new engineering data, etc. The current flat files is hard to work on. I need to create manually dark corrected flats which is not efficient since the pipeline does it already.
Let's create a new directory "flats" where dark-corrected flats are saved with a clear filename:
yyyymmdd.hhmmss.ucomp.wave.flat.fts
This will make a lot easier to analyze flats moving forward.
Notes:
make sure to produce these files for flats with either the occulter in or out
