Hello, I would like to share a selfless translation for this add-on to Create.

Full and high quality translation into Russian. Inaccuracies were corrected and missing lines were translated.

Hey I saw you somewhere before 😅

Also, 1.18.2, v1.4.8... sounds quite outdated, not sure if it's gonna be relevant. Crowdin though...

Также, 1.18.2, v1.4.8... звучит довольно устаревшим, не уверен, будет ли он актуален. Хотя Crowdin...

Yes, indeed, in one of the topics you saw me.

I was building a build for version 1.18.2, started adding addons to Create and noticed that in many of them the translation is incomplete and in some places leaves much to be desired, so I decided to fix it.

And yes, on version 1.18.2 version of the mod 1.4.8 is the latest, and it's been a long time since updates were released (almost a year). So why not add a full translation at least on this version for those who prefer to play on 1.18.2 or lower?

In any case, I did the translation for me personally. I decided to share it just in case developers will notice and want to update it. I think it's better and nicer when every line in the mod is translated, not to mention the quality.

Although, as I've already realized, it's not done so easily through a topic in GitHub. They use some kind of Crowdin, which I have no desire to understand and offer to translate one line at a time. So I'll just leave the .json file here, and it's up to the creators to decide.

Thanks for clarifying, @Kryarrington. What about Crowdin, then yeah it's not made for this kind of one-time big throws, but rather for small 'n' steady consistent updating.

Copycats+, Steam 'n' Rails... I wonder where I'll meet you next time 😄

You can see my themes with similar names in such add-ons as “Create Crafts & Additions” and “Create Diesel Generators”. They all share the same translation problem :)

Hello, I am currently translating a large number of addons to Create on Fabric for my build.
I will be translating to RU and CZ.

I have previously translated a number of mods for Factorio, so I have experience.

@Returner-Pavel what does it have to do with our case though?

And… Create Fabric… :’(

OP's file has a lot of made up words for things that have a correct name in russian. "Вентиляционный блок" would mean a "block for vent" an apparatus made to control a vent, not a literal "block of vent". Just make it a "vent" - "Вентиляция".

Other examples are:

block.railways.smokestack_diesel: "Радиаторный вентилятор"
"smokestack_diesel" refers to a diesel exhaust stack, not a radiator fan.
Correct Translation: "Дизельная дымовая труба" (Diesel smokestack).

railways.ponder.door_modes.text_3: "редстоун-сигнал"
"Redstone" should be translated as "красный камень" for consistency with Minecraft terminology.
Correct Translation: "сигнал красного камня".

railways.tooltip.coupler.error.carriage_alignment: "центр тележки"
"Тележка" here refers to a bogey (part of a train), not a generic cart.
Correct Translation: "центр колесной пары" (center of the bogey assembly).

block.railways.track_phantom.tooltip.behaviour1: "Фантомные рельсы"
Issue: "Phantom" in Minecraft context is often translated as "призрачный" (ghostly) or may be called "прозрачный" (as in see-through).
Correct Translation: "Прозрачные рельсы" (Phantom rails).

create.contraptions.roller_mode.track_replace: "Заменять рельсы"
Issue: The gerund form is more natural for UI elements.
Correct Translation: "Замена рельсов" (Track replacement).

I've seen a lot of irregular translation in the Create Mod itself before, I'm not even close to being a grammar demon and yet some of it was triggering me quite easily. I enjoy both the mod and this addon, and would come great lengths for them translations to be correct

cannot quite recall how were bogeys translated in the original mod, maybe this is actually correct, keeping the consistency

Я видел много нерегулярных переводов в самом Create Mod раньше, я даже близко не демон грамматики, и все же некоторые из них довольно легко меня выводят из себя. Мне нравятся и мод, и этот аддон, и я бы пошел на многое, чтобы их переводы были правильными

block.railways.smokestack_diesel: “Radiator Fan” - literally looks and functions like a fan, nothing to do with smoke.

Railways.ponder.door_modes.text_3: “redstone-signal” - yes, indeed, “красный камень” fits more into Minecraft terminology, but along with that would be changing the names of some items, such as “Редстоуновый контакт” from the original Create to “Контакт красного камня” or "Краснокаменный контакт" (????), which sounds a bit cheesy. Still, the translation of Create uses exactly “редстоун-сигнал” in all reflections, so that's the kind of terminology that would be more appropriate in the context of Create.

Railways.tooltip.coupler.error.carriage_alignment: “center of the bogie” - indeed, "колёсная пара" sounds much better, you're right here.

block.railways.track_phantom.tooltip.behaviour1: “Phantom rails” - to me, “Фантомные рельсы” sounds like a good option for a Russian translation, considering that in Minecraft itself phantoms are called that, not “ghosts”. Although, “Призрачные рельсы” also has a place in this case.

create.contraptions.roller_mode.track_replace: “Replace rails” - you're right here too.

In any case, arguing about which translation fits better is pointless. In all likelihood, this version is really outdated, and the developers are unlikely to even take a serious look at this topic.

In any case, thank you for your reply. At least in my build I have taken your comments into account and corrected them.

@ForgivenID I agree with most of the takes, please paste your translations on the Crowdin page…

Sad to hear that yet true. I’ll get to fixing and unifying all that when I get back and have all the technical capabilities. Please be patient about it, and, if you want to help, use SnR’s Crowdin page, I’ll approve all the good ones when I get to it 🙏
