More polished display of values in maintable #88

The display of field values should be more polished in the maintable. For example:

  • brackets should be removed in the title field
  • latex commands for umlauts should be replaced with their symbol (i.e. instead of Bostr\"{o}m show Boström)

Maybe something for #452.

FormatChars can probably help with this (in the longer run, this can be updated with the much longer list in HTMLCharacters).
