Just curious if this ticket could account for making DeskThing run in the MacOS statusbar/Windows System Tray instead of taking a spot on the dock?

Yes! For Windows, it already displays in the system tray - I just haven't figured out or configured it for MacOS yet. (I only recently got a Mac to test on)
